I'd be excited to have tickets to this game also! Would you have expected a sell-out for this game - especially after the USA-Netherlands game?
I note that Helene Fischer has two sold out performances in the same stadium next week. I guess that shows who draws best in Köln.

I'm a bit surprised it isn't sold out; I'll see tomorrow how full the stadium is and how many walkups are sold.

Even the Dutch game wasn't sold out. Europeans don't seem to take Friendlies seriously, and maybe the USMNT isn't the biggest draw. Isn't the game in Dusseldorf? If the game were in K-Town, Frankfurt or Stuttgart there would be more Americans locally to attend.

Reasonably, Dutch and German fans are most likely more interested in upcoming Euro 2016 qualifying matches than friendlies against the US.

The game is in Köln; you're right though that they don't take the friendlies seriously unless it's against a regional team (Germany-England for example).

Adding that it is against the US and on a Wednesday evening probably don't help. That won't stop me from enjoying myself, though.

I expect the Germans to unleash hell.

I see it as 5-3 sort of game.

We're playing these games so that great players can show us what we're doing wrong and how to get better. Playing CONCACAF teams won't show us much.

Jurgen's record against Europe is astonishing. The team has much better mentality these days.

Germany is so deep, they could put their B team on the field.

Except Germany's upcoming Euro qualifier is against Gilbaltar.

Looks like they are going to.

Agudelo, AJ
Bradley
Mix Zardes
Williams
Fabian Johnson, Brooks, Alvarado, Chandler
Guzan

That lineup says attack, but the Centerbacks say lots of soft goals!

Super Mario is constantly open, we are doing a terrible job of picking up the second and 3rd attackers.

Diskerud!! Nice cross, and an even nicer finish.
(I'm watching it on my iPhone at work, so my view delayed by a minute..I get the ESPN alert push notification before I see the play)

and Zardes just missed (high) on a shot he should have done better with.

The US closed the 1st half really strong. Germany was dominating possession, but US is holding their own.

Sure, but far more Deutschlanders will go to home Euro 2016 qualifiers against teams on par with the US than attend a US friendly. Other than maybe some German retirees on Gibraltar or in Spain, not so many Krauts will fly to North Front airport for the Gibraltar game or travel to other away games against the likes of the Gibraltans .

US really pushing things in the 2nd half, More possession (or keeping German possession in their own half) and more attempts/opportunities. I have it on mute (at work) so not sure what the "experts" are saying, but solid 2nd half so far for the Yanks (cue a German goal right after i post this).
