I'm a bit surprised it isn't sold out; I'll see tomorrow how full the stadium is and how many walkups are sold.
Reasonably, Dutch and German fans are most likely more interested in upcoming Euro 2016 qualifying matches than friendlies against the US.Even the Dutch game wasn't sold out. Europeans don't seem to take Friendlies seriously, and maybe the USMNT isn't the biggest draw.
The game is in Köln; you're right though that they don't take the friendlies seriously unless it's against a regional team (Germany-England for example).Even the Dutch game wasn't sold out. Europeans don't seem to take Friendlies seriously, and maybe the USMNT isn't the biggest draw. Isn't the game in Dusseldorf? If the game were in K-Town, Frankfurt or Stuttgart there would be more Americans locally to attend.
I expect the Germans to unleash hell.
Except Germany's upcoming Euro qualifier is against Gilbaltar.Reasonably, Dutch and German fans are most likely more interested in upcoming Euro 2016 qualifying matches than friendlies against the US.
Looks like they are going to.Germany is so deep, they could put their B team on the field.
Sure, but far more Deutschlanders will go to home Euro 2016 qualifiers against teams on par with the US than attend a US friendly. Other than maybe some German retirees on Gibraltar or in Spain, not so many Krauts will fly to North Front airport for the Gibraltar game or travel to other away games against the likes of the Gibraltans .Except Germany's upcoming Euro qualifier is against Gilbaltar.
