KO absolutely outcoached Boeheim.

If he keeps this up, he will get an extension to 10 years.

Ollie can coach and he has played for some great coaches. He has motivated this team past their weaknesses. I go back to the Wes and Toby days and no Uconn team has ever played harder. They beat a good but not great Cuse team tonight with a stringbean front court, battling for rebounds and winning most of the loose balls.
If Uconn continues to win Kevin Ollie should be a shoe in for BE COY and a contender for national COY. He really has been that good.

That was some serious coaching. Best offense against that vaunted Cuse zone I have seen from a UConn team (sorry Jimmy)

I agree they pay really hard. They did for JC too.

Ollie's game plan tonight was perfect, I mean brilliant. And the game was played exactly the way KO wanted. I have never seen him use his time outs better.

And then there's this, he has proved he can play fast or slow. Beoheim was out of his depth tonight.

I agree, but they'll never vote for Ollie. We are perceived as having one and a half feet out the Big East door, which is true. The rest of the schools won't vote for us for anything.

Sure, but isn't everybody? Literally every team either has left or would given half a chance.

There were times recently when the two guards (Be it Price-Dyson, Dyson-Kemba, Kemba-Lamb, Lamb-Bazz) or whoever where they just play catch vs. the zone and have nothing come out of it. Tonight they used that technique to ABSOLUTE PERFECTION. Cuse fell asleep and we were killing them on the baseline and from the elbow.

It's 11:44. Just finished watching the game. Got home from teaching at 9:45 and somehow kept my head down and made it to the recording unlike so many times in the past when ESPN flashed a final score.

I have to say, with all the turnovers and missed opportunities, our slender players getting hammered down low, the fact that the first 4 steals by UConn resulted in zero points, I really didn't think they'd win even with a halftime lead of 5 points.

I don't know what Boeheim was doing, but CJ Fair is automatic down low, and Southerland is good too. Why on earth they played like that is beyond me, but one can only hope that Mike Hopkins has picked up Boeheim's methods. Cuse had a huge advantage down low. Harrumph!

I love our players, coach Ollie, even Olander freaked them out with the first two baskets.

2003 UConn shredded that zone like it was made of cracklin wheat.
