Undefeated Champions

Just need one more undefeated National Championship to equal all of the ones from the Men's side. Not that it is an easy thing to accomplish....

Next up: passing Pat Summit for 2nd all-time in wins (on the WCBB side), and then chasing down Tara VanDerveer and passing her for #1 (on the WCBB side), [but it may be the opposite way around if California Governor shuts down Stanford] then Coach K.....

The Men have had ZERO since the 1976 Indiana team, and UCONN has twice as many as all of the other women's team combined.

Personally, I would have loved seeing UCONN defeat Muffet McGraw just 1 more time, for that 7th win...............for old times sake! :)

So, so very wrong. Leave it to the media to fail to grasp the English language. There have been 16 teams to have been undefeated champions. There have been 8 SCHOOLS to accomplish at least one undefeated championship season.

There hasn't been an undefeated team on the men's side since the inclusion of the 3 point shot and only 3 schools have gone undefeated on the women's side.
