Should be a good game, hopefully Louisville pulls it off

VCU has a game against G'town too.

I wonder how good VCU is. Destroyed by FSU, taken to the final second by Long Beach State, and now Long Beach is being annihilated by a Kansas st. team that has really struggled all season, and LBSU is 1-5 so far.

That should be a good one. That would be nice if UConn gets an invite for that tournament soon. The last 3 years they had some good teams play in it.

If Louisville plays even an average game, they win by 20.

I haven't seen either VCU or G'town play yet this year, but they both seem inconsistent.

Unless G'town starts eshericking, in which they'll inspire some sympathy from me, I'm rooting against them in the near future (as well as Nova and St. Johns).

My family room is louder during games than that arena.

Dickie V has no respect for Uconn, barely ever talks about them. While watching Ville/UNC game, Dan Shulman mentioned how great the match-up between Napier/Boatright and Louisville guards will be later in the season and Vitale says absolutely nothing. Instead, responds by saying how awesome it will be to see Louisville's backcourt against Memphis' backcourt this season.

First half UNC and L'ville tied at 44 despite foul trouble for UNC with an already thin bench and L'ville raining threes (Russdickulus with 22 pts at half)...
L'ville with poor transition defense and they seem vulnerable to opponents with a strong inside game (not that that would help UConn)

We're shut out of it until at least 2017.

Omg I hope we destroy Louisville in transition. UNC has a similar style of play to us. If UNC can handle UL we definitely can.

I was way off on this game.

I'm gonna stop predicting things starting today!

Louisville has 3 assists through 33 minutes.

L'ville's vaunted full and half-court press is like a toothless lion and the new emphasis against hand-checking and bumping is the dentist.

They also really miss Dieng and Siva...bad loss to UNC today...regrettably bad for the AAC and UConn as well

There are definitely some UConn coaches scouting this game right now. This is the perfect example of how to beat Louisville.

I never understood the hype behind Louisville this year. I don't care who you bring in you can't lose your 2 best players and be expected to repeat. Losing Dieng and Siva was HUGE. Lville is a top 15-20 team, and will most likely finish 2nd or 3rd behind us in conference.

They kept their best player (Smith), and brought back players that are fantastic. Having a PG is really important, and people who were minimizing the loss of Dieng were crazy.

I wouldn't be surprised if they win the AAC this year...but I suspect UConn has more NCAA potential.

The way UCONN has played so far this season, I'm not sure one can predict that with any confidence. Sure they looked a bit toothless against UNC, but UCONN hasn't exactly looked like world beaters against anyone except Detroit this season.

It seems like all the prominent opponents on UConn's schedule are dropping like flies. Florida lost to Wisconsin, and still has half their team missing, Louisville looked terrible against the one half-decent team they've played so far, Memphis got slaughtered by Oklahoma State, Stanford and Washington both look abysmal, Boston College dropped their first three games, and even Indiana is going through a bit of a rebuilding phase right now. Obviously there is still a lot of season to play - Memphis, Louisville, and Florida will probably all turn out to be good teams, we still have a New England showdown with Harvard looming (interesting match-up with Colorado at 4:30 on ESPN u BTW), and Cincy looks solid.

Duke barely got by Vermont by 1 point today. Louisville was way out of synch and totally exposed by an excellent coaching job of Roy's. It was painful to watch. I can assure you, Louisville's incredibly ineffective transition defense - something which is fixable - will never resemble that for the remainder of the year. Ever.

Lots of new faces and Hancock, Ware and Behanen all still rusty from a mere week or less of practice. UNC was a total Kryptonite featuring players who tanked the season up until today. Meeks came out of nowhere, lol, and they made great shots. They were fired up and we were lazy and in bad need of a reality and effort check. Pitino was way pissed but he was also realistic - lots of guys still need to learn the game. No excuses - UNC played really well.

During the parts of the second half I saw the press still caused UNC some issues. We have two very good ball handlers but I don't trust anybody else beyond Bazz and Boat and I even worry they will try to dribble through it too much. I can see Harrel and Behanan killing us inside. I hope our bigs get the hang of this rebounding thing by the time we meet.
