Kinda surprised to see Duke look so shaky in this one so far. Also surprised to see Shegog pushing Williams around so easily in the post.
 
UNC is showing me why Duke thought it could get away with all of this isolation offense Duke is running. Against UNC and Maryland, it actually works.
 
Duke up 31-16. It could be over.

Maryland trails Georgia Tech early, 18-12 in Atlanta.
 
Well I just turned it on and Duke is up 39-21 with less than 3 min left in ist half
50-24 Duke scored 45 against us NC 35 both for the game!!!
 
Over or not, Duke is displaying vulnerability inside. NC just doesn't know how to take advantage

Duke is unconscious from beyond the arc. I'm very impressed by their box-score.

Shegog has played at least as well as Williams. I know she was terrible against us, but Shegog has improved this year.
 
I would have been totally shocked if this game wasn't a blow-out. NC is so over-rated it's a joke.

Ga Tech isnt a bad team... they probably will end up #3 or #4 at worst in our conference.

UNC is over rated, but not because they don't have excellent players who are terrific athletes. It's because they are very poorly coached and have no discipline on either end of the court.

perhaps, but this is a Maryland team who's ranked in the top 10. there's not that much parity in WCBB that they should be struggling this much with Ga Tech. then again, they just lost to ... Va Tech, right? so what the hell do i know lol...

You know certain teams match up better against certain teams.. and GaTech matches up well vs MD for some reason.

that's a really good point. in the past, even when UNC was good, they didn't match up well vs. UCONN, and neither has Duke in recent years. then again, last year, UCONN didn't matchup well vs. Georgetown. we really struggled every time we played them. i bet some of our more intelligent posters could talk about teams we match up poorly against and why...

Thats why I hated being seeded in UCONN's bracket last year. We had an excellent team, but just UCONN was a terrible matchup. If they would have put us in Dayton with Tennessee..... we would have made the Final 4.... and you guys would have ended up winning the title.

I'm sure I heard--twice, actually--at halftime from R Brunson that Duke was on a 27-game home winning streak! Funny, I thought we beat them at Cameron recently...maybe Brunson is trying to give Peck a run for her money as the dopiest "analyst" in WCBB. Jeez, Kara Lawson is bright enough, but those two make her look like a genius!
