Wolfpack shooting woes continue; starting 1 of 9 from the field. UNC already getting in foul trouble, however...that will be something to watch going forward.

End of 1st quarter...UNC holds a 15-14 lead. NC State went on a 9-0 run, including a THREE from Kiara Leslie, to take their only lead of the game at 14-12, before UNC got an and-1 to end the scoring for the quarter.

Halftime. NC State outscored UNC 20-6 in the 2nd quarter and have a 34-21 lead at the break. Kayla Ealey leads all scorers with 9 points for NC State, while Chelsea Nelson and Armani Hawkins have 8 points each. Taylor Koenen leads UNC scorers with 5 points, and a whole bunch of players have 4 points for the ladies in blue.

Wolfpack Women shot 34% in the first half and outrebounded the Heels 27-16. UNC shot 31% and was 0-7 from THREE...while NC State hit on 3 of 11 long-range attempts. NC State is rolling up points at the FT line, going 9 of 12 while UNC converted on their only FT attempt.

Murray, Bailey and Cherry all have two fouls for UNC, while Maize and Konig have two each for the Wolfpack Women.

Impressive 3rd quarter for NC State...outscoring UNC 25-18 and extending its lead to 21 points at 59-38. Chelsea Nelson, Acelin Konig, Kiara Leslie and Armani Hawkins have all reached double figures, with Nelson recording her 10th double-double of the year. Paris Kea leads UNC with 12 points.

Jocelyn Jones has fouled out for the Tar Heels.

Final: NC State beats UNC, 73-54. This marks NC State's 26th 20-win season. The Wolfpack Women improve to 20-6, 9-4 ACC. UNC loses their fifth game in a row, falling to 14-11 on the season, 4-8 ACC.

Ace Konig had a breakout game for NC State recording 18 points, including 4 of 10 from THREE...and Armani Hawkins came off the bench to add 14. Chelsea Nelson recorded a season-high 16 rebounds for the Wolfpack, which outrebounded the Tar Heels 58-36.

Paris Kea for UNC led all scorers with 21 points. The Tar Heels had three players in double figures.
