In the MAC, UMass is the 2nd largest school in enrollment, top endowment, and the only school in New England which should be a selling point. I'm sure there are many MAC football players from the Northeast who would choose UMass due to location and education. UMass needs to scrap McGuirk and build a new 25k-30k expandable football stadium. McGuirk is the smallest MAC stadium and simply not worth renovating. They probably want to have some level of success before building but they need a new stadium ASAP. Mass is the 16th largest state by population so don't get cheap. It can't cost much to level McGuirk so just start from scratch, all brand new.
