Highly recommend the Silas interview.
“ I’m trying to fit in before I stand out “

I like that response. It tells me that he knows that he’s good and can contribute, but that he’s new to the team and needs to get to know the system and players first. No massive ego or a me first attitude.
Another cultural fit to the team dynamics.

Had a chance to talk with Silas during lunch after the 7/25 scrimmage, and I definitely ditto the sentiments here. I love his attitude and I think he brings the right demeanor that you want from your starting PG with respect to confidence, caring about the defensive end, and having a pulse for team dynamics both on and off the court. Being the lead guard at UConn is a pretty heralded role and comes with some pressure, but I have a good feeling Silas will live up to the standard.

I was really impressed with his BBIQ. Gave a better interview than any of the players. Talking about learning where the guys scoring spots are and getting in the film room to figure out how to make reads in the specifics of our offense isn't something you typically hear from a 20-year-old.
