NC State will lose as they still are not up to challenging UCONN. Villanova's win last year was gigantic fluke. They beat us by 3 points ,but when the chips were down in the BIG EAST tournament, they lost by 30 points. That was UCONN showing them they were not in the same league as they were. It will be the same this year with Villanova not beating UCONN again. GO HUSKIES!!!

That NC St. game was an interesting one. It was close -- probably closer than it had to be. They were not far from a chance to win it in regulation, and we definitely should have been able to put it away in regulation. Mistakes kept it close. But the pressure was enormous and besides Paige, no one but Evina knew how to handle pressure.

I like Villanova and their coach, Denise Dillon. But you're right that they are a step below us -- as is most of the Big East -- competitively. We get good games from teams like Creighton, Marquette, DePaul and Villanova. They can even challenge us early in the conference season. But by the end of the season, the differences are usually all too clear.

I think we will be the usual juggernaut again come January. We may take a few losses in November and December, but that won't be indicative of what the spring will bring.
