The Pirates, who were picked to finish third behind DePaul and St. John’s in the Big East preseason coaches poll, enter the contest with a 5-3 record, with wins over Sacred Heart, Fairfield, VCU, Saint Joseph’s, and Vanderbilt and losses to Princeton, Lehigh, and Georgia Tech.

There’s a lot up in the air in UConn’s first game in over a week: Will injured Crystal Dangerfield be healthy enough to play? How will Anna Makurat fare on her hurt ankle? Either way, will the Huskies’ offense take another step in the right direction after producing a bit of a mixed bag in their first six games?

Thanks. ONO has to hit the ground running, establishing her area of the paint, and hitting all of her bunnies free throws and layups. She must stay out of foul trouble. We need a minimum of 15/12 from her, with 5-6 blocks and 3-4 assists. UConn must win this game with defense. Keep the team turnovers to single digits.
