[QUOTE="EricLA, post: 4432172, member: 26"] Like most of you, I saw that "ranking" and thought "meh". But in fairness, Hidalgo is top 6 per both HG and BS. PN has her at #9 so she's a legit top 10 kid. A lot of those sites like to totally weight bigger classes of lower ranked kids ahead of smaller classes with higher ranked kids. BUT IMHO a class of #2 and 8 for example is MUCH better than the other team who has #20, 28, 35, 40 and 48. I don't know where to rank El Alfy. I don't know how good she is compared to the American kids. When Nurse came to UCONN, a lot of us felt she was a legit top 10 kid, if not higher. That was borne out. Edwards - same for her. I do think she's a legit top 10 in her class. Canadians are a bit easier cuz of the proximity. Muhl - some thought she might be top 15, others top 40. And with her at least we had more film of her playing against decent competition. Jana - no idea. She's YOUNG. Just turned 17. Saw an interview of her at 14 and she had a very thick accent. Saw her again at 16, and her English was flawless with a small accent. If she works as hard at her game as she did with her English, she's going to be a superstar. I see her a bit in the mold of Stewie. No one will be as good as her, at least not any time soon, but similar game. How much upside does she have? A post player who can go to the basket from both sides, with a great mid range and decent 3-point shot - what's not to love about her game? Obviously there are players in that class I'd have love to have landed, but i would not trade our class as a whole for any other teams' out there, and it's not close. We got the perfect well rounded class - a PG, guard, wing, and forward. And I think 3 out of the 4 of them are legit top 10 recruits. Welcome to UCONN ladies - I see NC's in your future!! ;) PS. How about the guns on Arnold in that photo? Dangerfield watch out - she's not even gone thru UCONN's strength and conditioning yet, and she's already super fit. So is Shade BTW... gym rat for sure.
