UConn Will Beat Creighton This Weekend

I hope so, because 3-3 would put us in the bottom half of the conference

We already know Creighton will leave shooters open to double Sanogo, and we already know they'll bring Sanogo into every high ball screen and hit Kalkbrenner on the rolls. We have 2 days to practice against it and come prepared

Should be a good game
 
The building isn't collapsing but there are some cracks in the support beams.

Our shooting is terrible....just plain terrible.

We have a cold sore on our lip and aint nobody gonna dance with us.
 
McDermott is a good coach and they’ll be ready. Hopefully two straight poorly-officiated road losses where we were also just outplayed and out-toughed is enough of a wake up call for our guys.
 
Creighton is getting better throughout the season. Us on the other hand.

Sadly I would rather put my hard earned money on a four game losing streak if we are betting. But, 2011 and ‘14 showed me regular season doesn’t matter. But, Kemba and Shabazz aren’t walking through that door.

I agree.... I don't see some of the players who have gone cold shooting continuing to go gold... great players push through it and I still think we have great players. Hurley still needs to figure out what to do in the paint through.

That's my fear. Better play Clingan major minutes or we'll be seeing a lot of Kalkbrenner dunks again.
 
Is creighton going to shoot 20 more free throws than us as well?

We went 9-9 in the big east in 2011. Undefeated ooc.

Old BE where .500 was still an accomplishment. If we go .500 in BE this year that's not good.

I don't think any chance we're .500 in BE this year, we should be good enough to win or come close.
 
The staff needs to go to the drawing board. Scrap whatever we did tonight, because it was BAD.

Clingan needs more minutes, Newton needs to remember how to play basketball. Our bench outside of DC needs to show up.

There is no excuse for Newton to not have a good game against Creighton’s guards.

True not the same but this league is much better than perceived pre season.

They get over amped, panicky and unfocused just like their leader. Look at AJ, he’s behaving like Danny, Jr. on the court. Way over amped and out control making bad choices, forcing things and getting into antics on and off court. Not a mentally mature team.
 
Teams are going to zone us and push their defense out to the 3 line and even beyond pressuring our ball handlers. Effectively defending AJ, AS and JH is now clearly defined and scouted.

Ball is in our coaching staff’s court to come up with answers.

Let’s hope we get SJ back. Let’s hope our new guard additions (NA, HD and especially TN) produce more consistently. Let’s hope we get JC some more open looks.

But above all, I agree that DC needs to be on the court more (especially against Creighton and RK).

If we end this rough five game stretch 3-2 that's absolutely a win.
