Melley and Daniello look at called strike 3's before Yavarone flies out. For a team which is very aggressive swinging at first pitches to look at two called strike three's is surprising.

Game Notes:- LJ Mazzilli and Billy Ferriter stand tied at third all-time at UConn in hits with 240 a piece.
- Connecticut improved its record all-time against St. John’s to 55-57 following today’s victory.
- This afternoon’s victory brings Connecticut to 4-4 on the season against Big East opponents.
- Sophomore Jon Testani’s third-inning triple was the first of his career and scored three runs.
- 16 lineups have featured at least four freshman this season.
- Connecticut is now 12-1 when they steal three bases or more on the season.
- Anthony Marzi picked up his second win of the year; his first came on March 1 against Ohio State.
