COOL GAME BETWEEN TWO UNRANKED TEAMS: Connecticut's resume already features three losses. But all three are to top-35 KenPom teams -- specifically Maryland, Gonzaga and Syracuse. In other words, the Huskies have avoided a bad loss to date. And they'll need to handle Ohio State at home Saturday to continue that trend because the Buckeyes are 4-4 with losses to UT Arlington, Louisiana Tech and Memphis, meaning losing to OSU at home, in this particular season, would qualify as a "bad" loss.

Ohio State (4–4) at UConn (5–3)

Saturday, noon, CBS

I’m not saying UConn is going to be a bubble team, but Kevin Ollie stacked his nonconference schedule for a reason, and so far all they have to show for it is a neutral court win over Michigan. If they can’t win a home game against one of the youngest teams in the Power Five leagues then the Huskies are really in deep trouble.

UConn 74, Ohio State 60

Center Daniel Giddens is progressing in his workouts with the goal of being active for a game Saturday at Connecticut, Ohio State coach Thad Matta said Thursday.

The freshman has missed the past two games, both wins, for different reasons. Giddens was held out of Saturday’s game against Virginia Military Institute because of the flu, and he missed Tuesday’s game against Air Force because of a left hamstring injury.

Averaging 5.5 points, 5.7 rebounds and 3.4 blocks.

Adams is our only true PG. He creates offense on his ability to dribble penetrate. Jalen looks like he has the outside shot we need if Hamilton would pass the ball to him when open. My theory is Jalen at guard point and Hamilton at forward point. Adams gets the ball to dh in better offensive position and dh kicks to Adams on perimeter. They feed off each other.

Good point about Miller, 8 offensive rebounds isn't cutting it. Attack, Attack, Attack the boards.
