This certainly takes the sting out of losing the aircraft carrier game. Anything that keeps us in the national spotlight is good for the program, and playing another top-10 program helps as well.

Wow. What else can I say. At least we aren't going full on cupcake schedule style next year.

MSU, NC State (likely preseason ACC favorite), SDSU and I know I am forgetting a couple games.

What about Michigan, Tennessee or Texas?

Nice homecoming game for half of our team. I hope their fans can get in to watch.

Will be a stiff test for our undersized front court for sure but it should be interesting. I hope our guards and Daniels can step up their play this year as they will be the main scoring options this year.

So our three German players will not be able to have their close friends and family see the one game that is not an 8 hour flight away?

This is terrific. It will be memorable for the players and will take some of the sting out of not being able to play in the BE or NCAA tournament.

I'm sure they'll figure something out for the families. Families always get to attend games.

yep, that was my reaction....great for our German players and their families, as well as for the kids getting the chance to entertain our servicemen.

NC State is a probable preseason favorite to win the ACC? That conference really is pooping the bed.

Looks like Izzo is as much of a stand-up guy as the MSU people say he is.

While a great opportunity for MSU and its players, with the drei germans and NCAA crap, this means more to UConn.

Kudos to Manuel, JC and ESPN.

take it easy chief, he was just saying that he wont be able to attend the game, even though he lives in GER.

I was responding directly to SouthTampaBill's question. He asked why Ray was upset that it was on a military base.

Thanks for looking out though.

It would be kind of funny to see

Wolf - 3 minutes
Giffey - 4 minutes
new guy - 1 minute

Won't happen but that would be a kick to their nutzen.

I realize you were kidding, but assuming UConn doesn't play a 4 guard lineup, UConn would have to play Olander/Nolan a combined 73/80 minutes or so. One of Wolf/Tolksdorf will be playing a decent amount.

Giffey might feel the squeeze the most, if Evans plays some 3 and/or Daniels steps up.

It will be interesting to see what Calhoun and co. come up with this year to deal with the lack of depth and big men.
