I have only been a Uconn WBB fan since around 2008-2009 so have never watched these ladies played, but that is THE BEST Uconn WBB segment I have ever watched. I suspect they could give some of the recent great teams a run for their money. That was fun!

Pretty sure we’re gonna see 2002 team and the 2014 team. Maybe not in that order

I can't really put my finger on why, but I thought this segment is much much better than the one from the 2009-2010 team. Can't wait to see the rest of the series. Who needs a recruiting coordinator when you have these videos :)

The 1995 team was the perfect team, perfect group of women, perfect moment. Their personalities still shine through.

I was in Gampel for the 1995 Tennessee game. One of the best atmospheres I have ever been in. My first game I ever watched was the 1994 regional vs UNC. This group turned me on to the sport and are largely responsible for everything that has followed.

The undefeated teams were:

1994-95

2001-02

2008-09

2009-10

2013-14

2015-16

Notice that the only team to go undefeated 2 seasons in a row was the one with Maya and Tina. Stewie et al. were very close to 3 in a row, but had the hiccup at Stanford on Ashley Orrange's buzzer beater.

I know the 2014 team had more characters but I am guessing the 2016 4 peat may be more
compelling from a story telling POV ?

I've seen two, the 2009 and 1995 shows.

These are the best ZOOM entertainment I've seen, of any ilk, during the pandemic. It's a brilliant idea, perfect for the ZOOM medium and a tonic for the mood.

Geno does a great job of moderating and providing talking points. I've gotten insights into Geno/players dynamics I didn't know about before. There's no mentor/pupil feel at all. Everyone seems equal.

I love the amount of laughter and the obvious, genuine affection everyone, Geno included, feels for everyone else.

Solid and admirable citizens all.

One complaint: Maya Moore was conspicuous by her absence from the 2009 show. I'm assuming she's on an extended honeymoon. She certainly deserves to be.

Not sure. I’m just guessing. Although he had Faris on who wasn’t from the 09 team. Maybe he does uses players from both teams

Lobo’s comments at the end sum up UCONN

I watch that 1995 final four every so often. Just watched it again. What a gutty performance in the championship game. It would not have been close without the BS first half fouls.

My favourite moments are Jen going coast to coast, relentless rebounding by J and then after the horn, Rebecca goes coast to coast!!! What a great memory!

The best thing is, every time I watch it, UCONN wins!!! :):):)

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everybody!
