UConn UDFA Updates

No Jelani Stafford, TJ Sheffield with his return abilitiy, or Nate Carter?

Not sure that is accurate - that was the first twitter post in this thread and it was subsequently deleted before the draft was even over. 2025 Jacksonville Jaguars undrafted free agent tracker

You might be right. Here is the source I got it from

I hope Wright gets a shot somewhere but nothing from Jordan or UConn makes me think it was rumor mill tweet.

Article on Chase Lundt from Joe Arruda has the following:

-> Huskies sign as undrafted free agents

Valentin Senn, who stepped in as the Huskies’ starting left tackle in 2022, signed as an undrafted free agent with the Arizona Cardinals shortly after the conclusion of the draft. The Austria native was part of an offensive line unit with Lundt that helped the Huskies run for 2,590 yards – the second-highest rushing total in program history – and finish the season ranked 23rd nationally in yards per game (192.7) and 13th in sacks allowed, giving up just 1.07 sacks per game.

Safety Malik Dixon-Williams, a native of Orlando, Florida, signed a UDFA contract with the Los Angeles Rams on Saturday night. Dixon-Williams played in 41 games for the Huskies as a mainstay in the defensive backfield and accumulated 255 total tackles, 12 passes defended, two forced fumbles and seven interceptions – one of which he returned for a touchdown. <-

Nothing on Jelani?
With all due respect to him as a guy that played at UConn for 3 years, I don't see him as an NFL player at all. A pretty solid run defender, but in pass rush he was difficult to watch at times. I've always beleived Dalmont Gourdine is better than Stafford, and he hasn't gotten a shot yet (which may not be helped due to the injury he sustained toward the end of the season). Really anyone that wasn't given a rookie camp invite or hasn't been signed by now is probably not going to be getting any opportunities for the 2025 season in the NFL.

Any sort of contract will be a better salary than most of the recent UConn grads. Compete like hell and hold on to the dream until it's time to get a "real job".

Dal’Mont Gourdine earned himself a KC Mini-Camp invite but haven’t seen anything since the camp ended last week:

Sounds an opportunity to become a great DL coach... at the very least.
