Anthony Kay gets out of a little trouble in the 5th. He's also thrown over 100 pitches so his day is probably done. Sounds like Radue will be coming in next inning.

#UConn lineup for the rubber match at Tulane...Jordan Tabakman (2-2, 2.70) makes his seventh start of the year.

Second day in a row with a what the heck are you thinking on the base paths by Siena. Destroying big inning potential. The fake to 3rd and thrown out at first today. Melley then walked and Davey doubled. Only 1 run when it could have been multiple.

Now a simple popup in the infield for out number 3 and Siena and Melley let it drop with miscommunication and a run scores. 2-1 The little things that use to haunt this team have appeared over the last 2 games.

.-.
Tulane gets the bases loaded in the 5th, and then scores two runs off Tabakman. 3-2 Tulane heading into the top of the 6th.

Would have gotten out of the inning if willie yahn makes a good throw to first. Defense leading to unearned runs is killing this team. Need a come from
Behind victory where bats take it to a teams bullpen. All wins this year seem to be of the get out infront early and hold on

Meanwhile, Coach Penders brings in Ruotolo to relieve a wild Darras to get out of a bases loaded jam in the 6th. This move shows how much the injured Devin Over is missed. I don't think Penders is trusting enough in either Radue or Holmes into a big game situation like this, so it looks like Ruotolo is in for the ride as long as it is close.

Davey just hit a home run and they rule it a double. Even announcer believes it went over the fence and came back.

.-.
Tulane botches a double play ball, and UConn puts across a run to put them ahead 4-3. UConn still batting in top of 9th.

No one warming in the UConn bullpen (no surprise), so Ruotolo to pitch the bottom of the 9th.

.-.
Huge win just in the sense that losing 2 out of 3 would have hurt knowing you really should have won 2 out of 3 if not all 3.
