It would cost them construction costs of a new school most likely...and if I was the town of Mansfield and District 19...I would very seriously think about that offer if it was ever made.

I'm not sure how big the school is, but it would likely cost between 30 and 80 million dollars. My town just built a new 1200 student high school ($80 m), and is looking into building a 750 student middle school (~ $30 m).

Not too long ago the Town and State spent about $40M for extensive renovations for EO Smith. Granted the location isn't bad for an arena but throwing away tax dollars is frustrating. I've heard rumors/some speculate that the State could swap the depot prison as a location for a new school.
