I don't like it.
The last time we were in a preseason tournament at MSG with Iowa, it went horribly, horribly wrong.
Ollie, or maybe it was the UConn AD, a couple years ago said they would play at MSG at least once a year. It helps recruiting and it helps marketing of the program and staying relevant.Consider this: whether intentional or by simply winning, UConn has been able to get to the Garden every year since the Big East dissolved
Field is set: UConn, Syracuse, Iowa, Oregon. Matchups TBD.

Can only play in one preseason tourney per season. Small, yes, but at least it guarantees two games at MSG for UConn. That makes 3 MSG games for 2018-19 (Villanova being the third).I'm assuming this is our only preseason tournament? Kind of a teeny event. Do teams ever play in two? idr.

I guess 3 trips to NYC for me in 2018.
Probably next month.Speaking of MSG, any idea when tickets for the Jimmy V go on sale?
So we're just going to play Oregon every year now I guess
Never underestimate the power of Nike and UCONN being one of its top contract schools.
If that means a home and home with Oregon is on the horizon for say the 2019-2020 and 2020-21 seasons then I'm all for it.
