It is still summer, I'm still bored and the question was asked about steals this past season versus UConn all-time greats. Digger, this one's for you...

Here are the all-time top five UConn players for steals:
1. Nykesha Sales = 447 steals
2. Moriah Jefferson = 353 steals
3. Jenn Rizzotti = 349 steals
4. Maya Moore = 310 steals
5. Gabby Williams = 305 steals

Nykesha is head and shoulders above anyone else in steals with 94 more steals than 2nd place.
She had an amazing junior season with 143 steals in just 917 minutes. That is a steal every 6.41 minutes.
By contrast, Nika led the team this year with a steal every 15.25 minutes. (47 steals in 717 minutes)

Moriah's best season was sophomore year with 106 steals in 1,187 minutes. That comes out to a steal every 11.19 minutes.
She also had her Junior season with a steal every 11.21 minutes.

Rizzotti was equally larcenous with 349 steals in 4,133 minutes. That averages a steal every 11.84 minutes, for a whole career.
Maya and Gabby were pretty good at thievery as well, in 4th and 5th place.

In 1275 minutes across two season Nika has 87 total steals or about 1 steal for every 14.65 minutes played.

I actually tracked down the stats for Sales, knowing she was the leader. For her entire career it was 1 in under every 8 minutes, truly phenomenal. Then I tried to get Jefferson’s career stats but did not succeed. I gave up at that point, hoping that tried and true @DavidinNaples would deliver, and of course you did not disappoint.
