With 26 games in the books, UConn sports a 22-4 record and some odd individual and team stats.

Consider:
1. Nika, known for her assists, is 4th on the team in rebounding. (102)
2. Amari has appeared in 21 games, the same number as Azzi & Caroline combined !
3. Opponents have missed 1,043 shots or 65% of the 1,609 taken. UConn has missed 729.
4. Lou has more blocked shots (10) than Aubrey (8).
5. Amari is 5-12 from the 3 pt line AND 5-12 from the free throw line. (41.7%)
6. Ayanna is the only player who has not tried a three pt shot. Ines is the only player without a blocked shot.
7. Nika took 9 free throws all last year. This year, she has taken 41. She has made 29 for 71%.
8. UConn's free throw shooting % of 75.6% is the best since the 2017-18 season.
9. Aaliyah and Lou are the only players to start in all 26 games.
10. The turnovers per game for the last 3 years was 13.8, 14.1 and 14. This year the average is 17.

It has been a tough season with many injuries and limited substitutions. What has never been missing is heart, hustle and effort.
Go Huskies..!!

9 is interesting. Based on the Georgetown game, Lou and AE seemed to still be rebooting after this brutal season to date. They have been the targets of most defenses. They had energy in spurts. Another game or two and they will catch their second wind.

Lots of interesting stats, great post.

The stats don’t always tell the full story, but I enjoy analyzing them. Our bread and butter this season has been maximizing shooting efficiency to overcome turnover and rebounding margin. The biggest driver of that efficiency was the crazy clip Lou was shooting the ball. Since TN, she’s gone 31% from the field, and 13% from three. Now a large part of that is how defenses are scheming coupled with fatigue. But her dip in efficiency is a big reason to me why suddenly games are a lot closer.

Makes me appreciate how effortless she made it look for long stretches this year.

Second wind??? They might be on their 3rd or 4th wind by now.
