UConn stats... Crystal & Christyn are a perfect match...

UConn's dynamic backcourt of Crystal Dangerfield and Christyn Williams have more in common than the "Y" in their names. They give the Huskies perfect balance and one of the best backcourt duos in Women's College Basketball. Consider:

1. Both Crystal and Christyn have scored 152 points so far this season.
2. Both have 11 steals for the Huskies.
3. They have exactly 42 rebounds each.
4. Minutes played this season stands at 379 and 376. (Christyn leads.)
5. They play an average of 34.5 and 34.2 minutes per game.
6. Crystal has taken 22 free throws, while Christyn has tried 19.
7. Both have started all 11 games for UConn.

Even their stats that don't match are very close. Christyn has 60 baskets versus 54 for Crystal. Crystal's extra three-point basket make up the point difference. One has tried 107 shots from the field, the other 110. Balanced bookends..!!

Crystal has more assists with 57, but Christyn has chipped in with 23. Blocked shots favor Christyn at 2 to 0. The only thing odd about these two Huskies is their numbers, 5 and 13. Oh, and one likes Kobe and the other Lebron.

Recall when asked after her decision to go to UConn, which player is she most eager to play with, Christyn said (squeaked) Crystal Dangerfield. I said at the time that I think Crystal was a big piece in Christyn's decision process.
