The first five minutes of the Huskies victory over St John’s was as close to perfect basketball as a team can get. At least as close as I have seen in many years of watching.

For your consideration:
1. The score after five minutes was 17-0. Pretty close to perfect.
2. SJU was limited to 3 missed shots, all of which UConn rebounded.
3. The defense created 5 turnovers, 3 steals and blocked a shot.
4. The Huskies went 3-3 from three point range.
5. Fudd (3-3), Williams (2-2), and Muhl (1-1) were perfect from the field and the team went 7-8 or 85%.
6. UConn had 0 fouls and only 1 turnover.
7. St John’s shot 0.0% from every part of the court.
8. UConn had 5 assists on their 7 baskets.

Ok, so not quite perfect. But, so much fun to watch..!

Go Huskies..!

Liya, who has been playing great of late, including last night, had a missed layup and traveling call early on. Take those out, and it may have been absolute perfection. Liya, of course, settled down after that and had a great game after a sluggish start.
