I loved Jeff Adrien. Always the toughest guy down low, and he had a great 15' shot from the corner of the free throw line.
Sanogo is the only guy who came anywhere near Adrien's physicality, but I don't think we've had anyone meaner than Adrien since then.

If you transplanted Adrien's meanness into Tarris Reed's body, this team would be a holy terror.

Heck, stick Tim Coles's temper in Reed's body.

My all-time favorite player. I wore 4 in high school because of him. Barely 6’5 without shoes but absolutely dominated down low. Underrated passer too his senior year. He was a monster in the elite 8 vs Mizzou his senior year too. If not for the Dyson injury he has a ring and is remembered as maybe the best 4 we ever had outside of Donyell

Jeff Adrien was a force since his freshman year. There were times he looked like the best big in 06.

He somehow carved out quite the NBA career despite his size. Man was a tank and played like a soldier. Watch those bows!

Jeff Adrien is one of UConn's great players. The battles between him and Pittsburgh's DeJuan Blair were epic.
My son in law is a 'cuse fan from upstate ny. Jeff was the guy on his Uconn all opponent list. Supreme toughness.

UConn single game scoring record is 51 by Bill Corley. I remember listening to that game and was super ticked at him for breaking the single game record of 50 pts set by the Poughkeepsie Popper, Wes Bialosuknia. One of my boyhood heroes.

Every time I see Christian Vital listed #2 in all-time made 3's, I'm like, "Was in a coma when that happened?"

Vital really filled it up for a couple of years, a very bright spot in a dark era.

UConn got hot that season that got canceled by Covid. I think they could have made some noise that postseason.

I thought the same. There would have been some work to do but things were starting to click before everything was shut down. It was the first time in years that I was actually optimistic about our squad that late in the season.
