Didn't ND have a string of final four appearances broken on Friday? If so, how many did they have?

Tennessee went to four straight Final Fours three times. Connecticut went to five straight FF's once, and now nine straight.

Stanford, LSU, and ND are all tied for five with Uconn's previous streak, and Uconn has now reached nine in their current streak.

Nice picture of Pulido holding that trophy. Now she can show that to all her doctor friends when they don't believe her!

This is such an amazing record. Think about it. Only one team has equaled Connecticut's previous record of five years in a row to the Final Four. And that team, Notre Dame, isn't going this year. So if ND is to match Connecticut's record, it won't happen until the year 2025, and they wouldn't be able to break it until the year 2026. And that assumes that Connecticut won't go back to the FF next year.

And 22 straight NCAA tournament wins? Amazing! If Baylor or Oregon State or Syracuse wants to break that record, assuming UConn doesn't win its next game, it will take them this tournament, then next year's tournament, then the next year's, and then, perhaps.

So Connecticut has set records that will stand for years to come, and perhaps never be broken.

A Golden Age.

Yep, thank's for the correction. Can you imagine that this UConn record extends four years past what anyone else has ever accomplished? Amazing!

Interesting that none of those other teams (LSU, Stanford, and Notre Dame) ever won a national title during their streaks of making 5 straight Final Fours. Of course, a few of those times UConn had something to do with that.
