This is such an amazing record. Think about it. Only one team has equaled Connecticut's previous record of five years in a row to the Final Four. And that team, Notre Dame, isn't going this year. So if ND is to match Connecticut's record, it won't happen until the year 2025, and they wouldn't be able to break it until the year 2026. And that assumes that Connecticut won't go back to the FF next year.
And 22 straight NCAA tournament wins? Amazing! If Baylor or Oregon State or Syracuse wants to break that record, assuming UConn doesn't win its next game, it will take them this tournament, then next year's tournament, then the next year's, and then, perhaps.
So Connecticut has set records that will stand for years to come, and perhaps never be broken.
A Golden Age.
