A forty four person Search Committee had been chosen to select a new UConn president. I know that they are trying to appease every interest group. But how productive can this large of a group be?

only #s 1, 3-5 now truly matter; beyond the Trustees' known business leaders, it's surprising there's no additional Gold Coast or even other CT business leadership representation in 2018.

Way back in the early 90's I was a student representative when my university was choosing a new president. I probably learned more in those meetings of the search committee, interviews with the finalists and final votes than I did in the rest of my college life combined.
