can't agree with that sentiment............Villanova isn't South Carolina or Stanford!!Really, bench no help in these games
Here you goAs soon as anyone has the video from this afternoon's POST GAME PRESSER from the UCONN vs. Villanova game, both Geno's complete comments and the comments from the players, can someone post them here? Much thanks in advance.
I think you may be under selling how good Villanova is. Very good defense. Solid offense. Looks to me that big East top 5 or 6 teams better than SEC or PAC 10 too 5 or 6.can't agree with that sentiment............Villanova isn't South Carolina or Stanford!!
if UConn is incapable of using their bench at least for a few minutes here or there, it's unlikely they'll get through the big tournament ........the games get harder and come faster and playing your starting five the entire tournament, game after game puts an incredible burden on the starters.........hopefully, Caroline will make it back in time to contribute....I think you may be under selling how good Villanova is. And Azziif UConn is incapable of using their bench at least for a few minutes here or there, it's unlikely they'll get through the big tournament ........the games get harder and come faster and playing your starting five the entire tournament, game after game puts an incredible burden on the starters.........hopefully, Caroline will make it back in time to contribute....
my daughter had a several sports-related concussions in a fairly short period of time in high school and each one brought about different symptoms, some of them fairly severe.........the good news is that in the vast majority of cases, the symptoms eventually do clear up and the player is able to get back to work..........I'm somewhat confident she'll be back but perhaps not until late February or early March......I hesitate to give oxygen to the Caroline ledge lurkers, but Geno did make some specific comments about her condition, and those are worth capturing here:
Unlike what Boneyarders spew out, these observations are not uninformed speculation. They are direct observations of facts and events that the public previously had no access to. As such, they deserve to be noted.
- It comes down to when she feels ready. She has a workout that she attempts periodically; if she can't get more than 15 minutes into it, then obviously she isn't ready. Or if she has to leave the sidelines in the second quarter of a game because she can't handle the noise and the lights, then she isn't ready.
- But lately, neither of those things has been happening. (Corroborated by the lack of glasses at the last two games). She has been "basically" completing her workouts, and she can watch an entire game from the sideline.
- He hopes that she is a week or two away from getting in a game. "It could be 2 games, or it could be 5."
that would be a game changer........And Azzi
Very well put. Thank you.I hesitate to give oxygen to the Caroline ledge lurkers, but Geno did make some specific comments about her condition, and those are worth capturing here:

Geno was very optimistic on Caroline return - and “ I” got the feeling he seemed hopeful she will be available for SCmy daughter had a several sports-related concussions in a fairly short period of time in high school and each one brought about different symptoms, some of them fairly severe.........the good news is that in the vast majority of cases, the symptoms eventually do clear up and the player is able to get back to work..........I'm somewhat confident she'll be back but perhaps not until late February or early March......
I pray that I'm wrong but I don't think we will be seeing her play again this year,And Azzi
Why do you think that? Seems likely she’ll be back in a week or two.I pray that I'm wrong but I don't think we will be seeing her play again this year,![]()
I got the same impression. I don’t think she will be back for that game but I think he’s hoping.Geno was very optimistic on Caroline return - and “ I” got the feeling he seemed hopeful she will be available for SC
She is fully practicing
Agreed. We certainly need Caroline and Azzi back before tournament time. The sooner the better.if UConn is incapable of using their bench at least for a few minutes here or there, it's unlikely they'll get through the big tournament ........the games get harder and come faster and playing your starting five the entire tournament, game after game puts an incredible burden on the starters.........hopefully, Caroline will make it back in time to contribute....
