Which players made the most progress during a single season. Class doesn't matter. 1 year guy, 2, 3, 4.

The only thing is it has to be 1 year. Example: if you use TNewt you'd have to focus it on either 22-23 season or 23-24. Not from the time he got here till his end.

Jake Voskuhl freshman year.

Early one you had to wonder if he'd ever be able to do much at this level. By the last few games of the NIT he was quality contributor.

Purely anecdotal, but I recall Christian Vital being absolutely infuriating to being an absolute stud at the end of the season that they never got to finish.
Looked into this a couple weeks ago. Over his last 11 games here were his stats

Not the question
I think he means Hilton's senior year. He definitely came out of no where that year. But not sure if his improvement was in the offseason or during his senior year. If the former than I guess that does disqualify him according to your criteria.

Emeka's junior year was also a huge leap. He went from being a shot blocking specialist to a legitimate low post scoring threat. Again, I don't have a good enough recall to discern whether his improvement was during the offseason or during the year. Kind of hard to distinguish IMO.

I echo castle.
He got better every month and it seemed he hasn't stopped in the league
But I don't think you can credit him for his continued improvement in the NBA for this question. His 3-point shot was still questionable. But yeah, you could tell he was starting to dominate. Imagine if he had come back to UConn how last year would have been totally different. He would have given us the perimeter defense and offense we were lacking. Obviously he made the right decision to leave, winning rookie of the year. Just sayin.

No love for DC? Compare from beginning of ‘23 to NCAAs ‘24 he went from first start to dominating Illinois.

“He’s playing tennis!” was my fave remark of that game. Big rise from backup prior year.

Once the staff inserted AJax in the dunker spot role-Along with his other contributions- I thought he became a really useful/reliable and disruptive match up nightmare for opposing teams in his last season and was a major contributor to the NC. His stats weren't dramatically changed from the previous year but his play style and impact on games really took off. Danny encouraged him to be assertive once he found that role and utilize his floor game/passing and connectivity with the team as a facilitator complementing our guard play. Was a unicorn with freak athleticism.

My 3 would be junior year Tristen Newton.

Senior year AJ Price.

Senior year Ryan Boatright.

Newton we know the story well.

Price went from a good distributing point guard to an offensive show of force, 3 point shooter, one of the best guard displays we've ever had at UConn. I wasn't expecting him to take over the way he did that year; I didn't know he had it in him.

Finally, Ryan Boatright became THE MAN in his senior year. He started pretty slow in terms of shooting, then in late January he became an incredible 3 point shooter.

48% from 3 over his last 14 regular season games at high volume (104 3s taken, 7.5 3s attempted per game).

If Boatright were what, four or five inches taller he would have spent a decade in the NBA. Kid was a gamer, tough as nails, played great D, could play alongside a ball dominant guard.....

One of the last great recruiting connections to JC too
