Either Amore or West said that Nolan was "roughly Jeremy Lamb's height". Huh? Was that just a misprint? Must be.

Nice article. I hope the kid can contribute this year. UCONN really can use him in the front court.

I follow Phil on twitter and he seems like a really nice kid, and he loves UConn. Having a borderline top 100 recruit like him and a top 30 recruit like Omar come w knowledge of a postseason ban is hardcore loyalty. It also shows what a powerhouse UConn has become. I will root harder than usual for this years team..

I agree about rooting harder than ever this year. As fans, we've been extraordinarily lucky to have multiple Big East championships and three national championships. The players deserve our support even if the team has a down year in 2012-13.

If Phil comes over to my Italian parents' house, I'll have him up to 270lbs by the weekend...

Olander weighed 8 lbs less and was 2 inches taller as a Freshman when he hit campus and he contributed.

I don't get it. 8 lbs less and 2 inches taller than who? They list Nolan at 6'10"....Olander has been described as 6'9" since he arrived.

well, Olander is only 6'8" in his socks and all that, and you know full well he lacks muscle tone, blah blah... ;)

I think the poster's point was that Olander was smaller and a little lighter, so even if Nolan weren't able to beef up and gain 20+ pounds over the summer, if he has any talent, he still should be able to contribute.
