It has seemed strange that we have been so focused on recruiting bigs, but no PGs. I'm not sure that Sam Jr. is really a point as yet, but I know he said that is where he is headed.

This year we've seen the team struggle without ball handlers. If Drummond leaves (at this point he should stay, but that's up for debate), we still have AO, Wolf and Bradley. Even if Wolf and Bradley aren't ready for serious minutes next year they do occupy scholarships. I think that we are somewhat boxed in because of apr and our lack of scholarships.

Drummond will do his basketball development a huge disservice if he leaves. As much as people over-reacted early in calling out flaws in Drummond, its abundantly clear that on offense he is not ready for the Big East much less the NBA.

I loved Sam Cassell's game. He was fearless, could shoot the mid-range shot as well as anyone and was good creating and shooting the three. Just a great scoring guard. Some said he required the ball too much but he was smooth and deadly with it and loved the big shot. I thought Shabazz would be a lot like a shorter Sam but it hasn't happened yet. I still think it will.

^ wow i agree with that shabazz part. I mean, his injury notwithstanding. Last year's Shabazz reminded me of the rookie Cassell coming off the bench for the championship rockets. Three point shooting, ball handling extraordinaire, and stiffling defense. Relentless. Right now, suffice to say I have no comparison for Napier.
