See what other schools are doing and what’s working. Time off is a killer
Good question, when you weigh the pros and cons unfortunately it would be wiser to stay with the team...I guess that's part of the deal and the sacrifice for being able to play and work towards being a pro player, etc...It sucks but is the way it is in a pandemic...Are the guys going to see their families for Christmas? I hope they do, but if this is happening throughout college basketball there are going to be a lot of new cases.
Why haven’t we scheduled two games this week?
UConn has consistently gone with the minimalist, least risky path this entire season. They aren't going to introduce risk after coming out of quarantine.
If there was a way to avoid playing the basketball season like they did with football, UConn would have done it. In football, as an independent, they could pull off the pull out.
They're part of a conference in basketball and have to play nice.

Other schools who have had a player test positive still played. They didn’t shut down for 17 daysIt's time to stop complaining. All the schools are going through it. It is tough on everyone. Figure out the best way to succeed with the hand we are dealt. Stop wishing and stop crying. Then go out and play the best you can.
I think Hurley is a very good coach but he is coming darn close to whining.
Exactly, every decision they make seems that they prioritize having good optics rather than using logicThe risk doesn’t change. If they play two games this week or two games next week. Get them in before the holiday break
The knucklehead brigade acts like this is all UConn’s doing. It just is not. Games, at least 3 if I remember right, were cancelled/postponed because the OTHER team had to shut down. Xavier shut down last week. DePaul has missed 9 so far. We.could have played one game but elected not to because we hadn’t practiced for 2 weeks. This is a worldwide pandemic which has killed more than 300,000 people in the US in under a year. Scheduling basketball games is somewhere between unimportant and very unimportant in the whole scheme of things. This is really getting stupid and played out now - we are off again until next Wednesday? such a tease - kind a hard to get psyched for games - can’t believe We are notscheduling something for this week. Wed night would of been perfect. All of a sudden we’re going to blink it’s going to be February and we’re going to have only like eight games completed - not smart
The only part of your post that isn't wrong, assumption or hyperbole is the part about speaking your mindOur Health Commissioner doesn't like sports and is treating 20 year old college kids the same way she would a 92 year old in a nursing home. Her advice made us a national outlier in football. Enough is enough. Chief speaks his mind!

Treating adults like adults, what a revolutionary concept. It ain't going to happen not at UConn or in Connecticut. The coach and team need to accept the facts as they are and do the best they can.The coaching staff and players are all adults. Shouldn’t the decision to play be entirely up to them? If someone in the organization is uncomfortable with playing, wouldn’t they have said so by now?
Let them decide on their own.
