Very sad. Thoughts and prayers to all the families and friends of these students.

I'm a Kappa Sigma alumni.
The undergrads are taking this hard.
It's sad all around.

Kappa Sigma has had a few deaths over the last few years, no? iirc one of them was crushed by his car while working on it. Feel awful for all involved

RIP.. this is a crazy trend that just needs to stop.
Sad of course, especially for the families and friends impacted. However, any evidence of a "crazy trend" is dubious at best. Extremely unfortunate yes, trend, not so evident.

From the article, a 55 year old branch student (Avery Point) passed on during the summer. Also during the summer, 1 student died in a traffic accident in East Hartford.

During the actual school year, another accident took the lives of 2 students also off campus in Columbia. As unfortunate as each of the 5 deaths, including the unknown cause of the Wilton kid, it is neither unusual, necessarily preventable nor a "crazy trend" for a large student population. May all of the people RIP.

wasn't saying UConn is at fault or implying anything in that regard, or that anything here was preventable. Sometimes stuff happens, I know that. Was just saying its sad and wish it would stop happening. 5 students in 2 months is a lot but its not uncommon to have students throughout the year pass.

Thoughts and prayers to the friends and families.
