My standard spring/fall attire is now Vineyard Vines long sleeve T-Shirts (wearing one today) which are fairly subtle and unbranded (Pebble Beach) or tech company logo 1/4 zips on colder days (got several free). I do have an Antigua long sleeve golf shirt in Navy with the logo like your 1/4 zip. I do agree those nicer items are more versatile, something you can wear out to dinner where a sweatshirt isn't appropriate. The nicer 1/4 zips have completely replaced sweaters in my wardrobe.
