UCONN Magazine ft. Dan Hurley - What's next?

“If we have Final Four aspirations and championship goals, everything has to function at a high level,” he says, “from our facilities, to the way we’re marketing the program, to our academic support program.”

With all due respect to CTMike:

Speaking directly to Chief

But no one has higher expectations than Hurley himself. “My expectations are higher than those of the most delusional fan,” he says. “I came here to challenge myself. I want to be an elite coach, and bring UConn back to the elite level.”

This magazine came in the mail last week and sat in the unread mail pile until Mrs. 8893 brought it to me opened to this article, suggesting that I might want to read it. Loved it and this quote especially, but it still boggles my mind to think that a team that won the National Championship four years ago (and three years before that...) needs to be brought back to the elite level.

Alterique, "we definitely want to be a tournament team", and with a nod at the 2014 trophy, "And I want one of those".
Hurley who wants UConn to be the surprise team of college basketball this year.

Respect to those who dare to dream, and put in the work.

Pretty nice article. Looking forward to another great season of UConn basketball. Wishing coach nothing but the best. This is coming from a coach KO fan and friend.

Great read.
Doing all the right things with what he inherited- I am looking forward to our guys playing hard and making good decisions on the court this year. Getting back to playing smart, having a better motor then other teams and a pride for the name on the jersey is exciting.

I have ZERO doubt that Coach Hurley is going to bring a title back to Storrs someday and it could be sooner rather than later. Im completely sold on this guy. We will be a national power again. Book it!
