JJ was on a lot of radars at draft time and no one would have been too surprised if she went higher than 6th.  I had her at 4th or 5th and only that high because CT WBB fans would have burned down the casino if the Sun had passed on Morgan.  She led the nation in rebounding in her senior year, and averaged a double-double in her sophmore through senior years. Her slim build and her mid-major college experience may have skewed her ranking for some.

The surprises have been 1) the Sun actually landed her :)) and, 2) she has progressed very quickly last year and even more this year without Chiney.  She is also showing that she still has LOTS of upside ahead of her (credit her terrific attitude and effort for that, along with great teammates and coaches).

The really difficult trick now will be to keep her happy in Uncasville once she's in a position to play anywhere she wants (see: Tina, Sylvia and Elena :().
