I definitely think Brown was the best, I’ll never forget his bust out game against Rutgers. Teams knew Brown was getting the ball and there was nothing they could do to stop him.
 
Brown for sure. I think if Robbie Frey stayed he would have been in the mix too.
 
Caulley was the best. He was quicker, faster and had a better bust than Brown and was amazing strong for his size. His injury prevented him from destroying the UConn record book.

Brown had the ability that you see in every great back, he would almost always make the first man miss. He had great vision, would put his foot in the ground and head downfield, fast. Great stiff arm. We haven't seen a stiff like that (or any stiff arm for that matter) for years.
 
In the FBS era I would say Brown. In the FCS era I remember watching Wilbur Gilliard and thinking he was best we had ever had up to that point.
