I read your post and I have to say your a loser. I mean no disrepect personally.
But with your attitude UConn is a loser, if we all thought like you we will be playing in the Colonial Athletic Association . But we have to think bigger than that. We need to move on to the next level and the first step is to think we B1G.

The exuberance in the '99 photo is it. I think the best part about it is that Rip, Khalid, Jake, Ricky and Calhoun are not in it. These are the other guys. That's us. It will never be better than that moment.

Does anyone remember our first year playing football in the BE (2004)? If so, do you remember Rutgers that season?

I believe that I can argue that outside of football there is no reason we wouldn't belong (athletically) in the B1G and that outside of the (highly questionable) AAU membership situation, there is no reason we wouldn't belong academically.

I now ask all of the naysayers, what would your reaction have been a half dozen or so years ago to the idea of Rutty to the B1g? For the record, that idea had been lobbied around their message boards for at least the past seven years.

Agreed. But I still don't think we "shocked the world" that night. We had a very good team that year. Duke and UConn were 1 and 2 all year.

I agree we had a very good team. But we were still heavy underdogs because the perception was that we were light years behind Duke.
