For the first time since students began returning to campus in August, as of today, UConn’s coronavirus dashboard registers zero positive cases on campus at Storrs. There had been 1 last positive for a few weeks now, but as of today, the isolation dorm has nothing in it but empty beds.
There are approximately 700 students currently on campus during winter break. Of course that number, as well as the risk of additional infections, will go up once students return for the spring semester. But at least for now, everyone at Storrs should be congratulated for their hard work and sacrifice in controlling this terrible virus.
