I just got an invite to this. It troubles me that no UConn representative is participating--and we're an IMG school. It's not a huge deal but I like UConn being perceived as relevant to the discussion. Call me paranoid, but by our absence we seem diminished. Am I nuts?

Pretty easy to figure out why we have no representative...

Not to worry, I'm sure it's being monitored.

Warde was at last year's - fairly certain this rotates, to some extent.

Manuel and Herbst were both panelists in 2012. In general, the guests rotate, although some are there more frequently.

If you are going, any chance you can ask Cunningham from UNC what he is going to do next year after the NCAA gives UNC the death penalty for it's academic scandal (Emmert's response would be hilarious)? Also, can you ask Wilcox from Florida State how much of FSU's soul was sold to the devil in exchange for the opportunity to play for another football championship? if you do have the opportunity to ask these questions, please make sure you are wearing either a BC baseball cap or one of those leftover Syracuse 'undefeated' t-shirts.

when i saw the title, i thought of Bill Butters & the Minnesota Fighting Saints.

that old 45 that had the fight call on one side and the Brass Bonanza on the was the soundtrack to my childhood.

As long as a strong UConn contingent is attending, then it's no biggie.

Given the first featured speaker, perhaps the stink was simply too much for UCONN to accept an invitation.

Lets face it..we are marginalized. Basketball will not carry the day, or it would have already. You don't pass the two most successful basketball programs in the last 20 years unless it doesn't matter. I view this situation as existential to UConn's relevance in major collegiate sports. We need to be squeezing nuts hard using all leverage we have.
