Trying to distract myself from the women’s game last night and trying to calm my nerves for tonight. Let’s see how our pros did yesterday

Hawkins came off the bench for 14 points in 20 minutes. 4-5 from three

AJax had 7 points in 9 minutes. Rough 3P shooting (1-3), overall 3-8

Drummond 4 points and 6 rebounds in 9 minutes

Not UConn related but Cooper Flagg had 50. Sheeeesh

Spurs vs Nuggets @ 3:00 pm today on Amazon Prime as a bridge to the Final Four. Spurs still have a slim chance at the #1 seed in the West and the Nuggets still have seeding in play so starters should be playing.

To cheer up this rather gloomy Tuesday, Castle with another triple double last night (completely locked up Maxey), while Cling Kong netted another double double (18/12/2 blocks).
Castle should seriously get 3rd team All-NBA consideration.
Bill Simmons mentioned possibly voting for Castle for 3rd team during his recent pod with Zach Lowe

.-.
I believe that's 5 Triple doubles this season for Castle. It is his 5th in his career. Other notable players with 5 triple doubles: Vince Carter, Dwayne Wade, Jayson Tatum, Chris Mullin, Penny Hardaway, Larry Johnson. Some rarified air for the young bull

Cam leads the NBA in FT percentage at 94.0% and is 4th in 3-point percentage at 44.9%.

He has 400 assists to only 93 turnovers for a 4.3 assist/turnover ratio. Can the guy be any more efficient?

Despite playing for a lousy organization, they saw his value in preseason and did the right thing by signing him and he has done nothing but exceed expectations.

So annoying, he rarely gets a decent chance and when he does, well, just look at that, 14 in 20, and then often rides the pine after.

Hawkins has got plenty of chances, he hasn't played well, March/April NBA numbers are meaningless, its alot of fake basketball being played. This board acts like it's impossible to succeed in New Orleans meanwhile Trey Murphy got drafted there and earned a $100M+ contract, Herb Jones was a 2nd round pick there and has already signed 2 contracts in excess of $100M, Sadiq Bey missed all of last year in Washington and has resurrected his career with New Orleans. Hawkins has unfortunately just stunk for the most part. If you're a shooter you have to make wide open shots, and that's a reminder for McNeeley and Mullins if they want to have NBA careers.

He should get All-NBA Defensive team, too.

For reference he’s played 20+ minutes 8 times this season and has scored double figures in only 2 of those games. That game was actually his season high in points. And he has been a negative defender all year

Not trying to put him down because I love Hawkins but he’s had a rough go in New Orleans. Was off to a really good start his rookie year but has regressed and lost confidence since. Hopefully he gets a change of scenery and turns it around. Needs to regain confidence in his shot and needs to make big leaps defensively
