The portal gives teams a second chance to fill a need if they miss out on the recruiting class, but since you don't know if the right type of player will enter, or if you can get them, bird in hand is much better. Waiting on the Big O is wearing on me a bit. I thought we were in great shape a couple of years ago, but a very long first list, a still long second list, and many upcoming visits is sinking my confidence level quite a bit.
