Coach Hurley’s Instagram story from a couple hours ago was also a picture from a plane with the caption “one more stop before going home.” Flew the entire staff out of the way after Peach Jam just for Cliff. Coach Cal probably drinking a Mai Tai somewhere.

Is this based on something?
He’s eligible for a reclass and although this stuff is fluid more recent reports have suggested that it’s likely he’ll stay in 2020. Also — it seems like one of the big reasons we’re back in the Cliff sweepstakes is because of the Big East move, so it might be a little strange if he were to commit to a year in the AAC, unless he wanted to get a year of D1 ball under his belt and enter the Big East as a soph ready to dominate.

Kentucky is putting much more effort into NFaly Dante than Omoruyi.
Does Omoruyi actually hold a Kentucky offer? Recruiting sites claim he does but they are regularly wrong on these types of things. Cliff isn’t really the type of player Kentucky goes after.

They offered him. They also offered Igiehon last year then stopped pursuing him soon after.

A year of development at a younger age with D1 basketball, and opportunities to go up against James Wiseman before playing Big East basketball seems like an appealing proposition as a big man to me.

Hurley is very tied to northern jersey basketball through his father, St. Bs, playing at St Anthony’s/Seton Hall, etc. He’s probably dying to finally land one of these top-50 type northern jersey prep kids. Every year there seems to be 3 or 4 of them. This could be his best shot.

Dante may go 2019, and is looking like a one and done. That might not be great for the good guys.

This is when I wish we had a downvote button and I could be downvoted into oblivion.

It's only fair, given that Incidental Fans are skeptical of casual conversation, and orangutans are skeptical of changes in their cages.
Just maybe Chief knows what he’s doing - did that ever occur to some of these cynics? LOL
