Diaco -Incapable of taking responsibility. What an arshole.
He said he took full accountability yesterday... actually his quote was: "I'm not making excuses. I take full accountability." He said it multiple times to different media members. Just because a reporter leaves it out of a follow-up story - it doesn't mean it didn't happen.
Look up the difference between accountability and responsibility. You want to complain it wasn't enough, it wasn't heartfelt, he didn't use the right words for you, he didn't cut himself deep enough, there weren't tears, etc, etc, etc - fine.
He (or someone else) flucked up. He knows it and the teams knows it. Until I hear otherwise in direct conflict - there is also the understanding he apologized to the team behind closed doors.
They are circling the sleds and will come out of this stronger.
Yeah fine, but accountability for what? He never publicly admitted to making a mistake, he just explains what happened through a rambling, incoherent stream of consciousness. I think a lot of UCONN fans would be glad to forgive and forget if he'd at least fall on his sword and admit publicly that he screwed up. That's accountability, not just saying the word with little or no context. It might also help regarding his relationship with the team if they heard him publicly admit that mistakes were made and they're on him.
