UConn football opponent preview: Holy Cross Crusaders (UConnBlog)

Bob Chesney seems like he has good upward momentum in his career. Is this a guy we should consider getting on our staff should we have an opening next year?

Patriot League. One team above .500 overall and all the rest below .500
Agreed. However, While we may, (or may not), have a better handle on this years team after Fresno, and this will be Holy Cross's first game, we certainly cannot afford to take The Cross or anyone else lightly. I'd like to be wrong but I believe this game will be a battle.

Hear ya. IMO they will have to show that they are much better than Holy Cross. A battle is not going to cut it. It will show no improvement of the program. None.

This is the one shot at a W. Hopefully the boys are up for it.

UC 31 HC 28 (2OT)

If we are to gauge any improvement, UConn would need to thump HC. Any semblance of a close game or loss will signal another year of the same.
Yale also plays HC.

For season ticket holders, when are we going to get tickets and parking passes?

This write up makes Holy Cross sound like Alabama.
It sort of does. I mean they were 7-5, not 12-0. Won the Patriot, not the SEC.

I think it will be a good test and it’s always good to play long time opponents. But jeez, let’s have some perspective.

No. He looks way too much like Bobby Fiasco who is apparently out of football right now

I knew we have been struggling against FCS opponents in the recent past but this list informed me the trend isn’t so recent any more. The FCS games are definitely bell weathers for the rest of the season.

What do you mean? No win by more than one score and a loss in the last 7 years?
