Good read:

-> UConn football has improved vastly from last year in more than a few metrics: UConn ended the 2021 season No. 129 (-25.6) in SP+, Bill Connelly’s tempo- and opponent-adjusted measure of college football efficiency, improving to No. 125 in the nation (-21.5). It’s not a perfect comparison, but it does tell us that this year’s team would be favored by over four points over last year’s. <-

Thanks Medic! Was a fun one to write. Great to look at the data and be able to actually draw conclusions instead of a gaping hole of nothingness.

This year's team a 4 point favorite over last year's team? Gimme that bet. Holy smokes. This year's team beats last year's team by 20+ points.
Was a touchdown last week when I pulled that statistic, but a few games this weekend made UConn drop in points. Didn't want to have obsolete data in the article.

This years team before all the injuries, would beat last years by at least two touchdowns with ME handing the ball off

I think it'd be closer than we'd like but I think it is still a win and one that looks more comfortable than it is.

If anything, Travis Jones would present more of a handful on the DL than anyone from this season's unit

Thanks Medic, wanted this one to detail why the advanced stats ultimately won't matter to Mora's long-term program building desires as long as the team doesn't regress heavily in the future

He has 14 AA schools above us.
