Gray has 6 assists. The rest of Duke have 2.

Hartley has 7 assists. The rest of UConn have 10.
 
Great Win by the Team with no one really having a good shooting day.

Kiah Stokes is my Player of the Game and then Caroline with her 3 point shots. They came at big times.
 
well congrats to UCONN on a hard fought game. Stef in foul trouble, Tiff not such a huge game production wise- injured... ugh poor kid. but still a defense was really good... congrats team!!!

I only caught the second half, but from what I saw, Kiah Stokes was outstanding! Really wreaked havoc for EW the whole time. I was very impressed. Her IQ on defense is really good for a freshman.

I have had such a crappy day, seriously. This made me laugh out loud. Winning the game really boosted my spirits!
 
1. Take the W.

2. Give the game ball to Kiah. (If you came in from the moon and knew nothing about player reputations, you would say she was the best player on the court. There should no longer be any doubt about her being in the rotation. She's in it to stay.)

3. Get on the bus.

4. Give Tiffany an icebag.

Lotta work left to do, but that's for another day. Happy with the convincing win tonight against a pretty good team.

Three tough, scrappy games coming up: Rutgers, G'town, @Lousiville. Very close to sewing up a #1 seed.

You're a great sport and this is one of the most competitive and oh-so-young Duke teams I've seen in years. I'll be surprised and disappointed if you don't run the table in the ACC and go deep, deep into the big dance. The future is very bright indeed.

Yes she did. Gray didn't score a single point on her in the second half. She still had a somewhat lackluster game on the offensive end and even a few miscommunications in the 1st half, but in the second - she clamped down.

Yep. The most important thing was for the team to put away a good team on the road. It wasn't pretty but the defense was great and it should be a big boost for the team's collective confidence and individually for Kiah.

I'm glad the next game isn't until Saturday. The players need a well-deserved day off and Tiff needs to rest her noggin. I hope Gampel is rockin' on Saturday night. Back to Big East play and no let-downs.

Been margarita time for a couple of days now. If you can make it to Cancun before midnight, they're on me tonight!
