UConn Dining Jumps on the Food Truck Bandwagon

This is something new? There were food trucks when I was there (94-98). The bacon cheeseburgers from a blue truck that parked near the old Co-op were the best.

Yeah there was a food truck when I was there too. It was parked between South and Arjona. I think the difference is that these are University owned/operated.

Food trucks are indeed ancient history at UConn. There were a number of them around campus in 1978 when I was a freshman. I recall frequenting one on weekends (there was no weekend food plan back then) that was called Food For Thought, which was located nearby to the Jungle. I really doubt any of the food trucks on campus back then were run by UConn.

The university has blocked outside vendors/food trucks, but has grandfathered in Lizzies Food Truck which parks on the curb between Monteith and Arjona. University Catering is your only option for any catered event or food truck type option on campus, unless you are able to obtain approval from dining services and the university
