I'd be surprised if Butler didn't have the pill. I don't think that Penders starts his weekend starters for midweek games prior to the post season. And, coming off a skipped start, I can't see him rushing Ward back out.

Retract my statement about pushing Ward up to get him innings. In all likelihood it's a result of the fact that BC is a top 100 RPI team and Pitt (this weekend's Big East foe) is just outside the top 200. Winning this game for tournament resume purposes is more important than say a sweep of Pitt compared to taking 2 out of 3.

Plus if Pitt isn't all that great, Fischer, Marzi and Dettman/Tabakman are likely good enough to win the series or even get a sweep if the lineup comes ready to hit.

ward is just wild here..and a error. wheels off again just like other games. sounds like we have these bad spurts off play and then we wake up late is the usual now for this young team. ward is just off lately, don't like it...
