Yeah on the surface, it wasn't the best of times, however, as the article states, there are silver linings- the violations are ridiculous in general but more importantly absolutely nothing compared to what has been in the news about college basketball over the past 12 months. I can't imagine what the rightful penalty(s) would be for Zona/Miller, Creighton, LSU if the NCAA and Emmert have the nads to play fair or more importantly why the death penalty wasn't handed down to UNC and Louisville.
Let's just forge ahead and hope the recruitment in mens basketball improves in all position areas and the football team isn't completely burned by the decision - never mind the financial implications that could occur should there be any shift in direction over the next decade.
The fall and time for games/practices to start cannot get here quick enough for me
